To promote excellent traditional Chinese culture, enrich employees' after-work life, and enhance their sense of belonging, on the afternoon of May 30th, Yuhua District Federation of Trade Unions' "Sweet Dragon Boat Festival, Handmade Zongzi" themed activity was successfully held in the multimedia activity room. Thirty employees experienced the charm of traditional culture and conveyed festive warmth amidst laughter and joy.

Before the activity started, staff had already prepared the venue, neatly arranging fresh bamboo leaves, golden alkaline glutinous rice, colorful strings, and scissors. Considering the local traditions of Changsha, this activity focused on making alkaline water zongzi, aiming to allow employees to experience local characteristics through hands-on participation.

The atmosphere at the activity site was lively and warm. The teacher explained and demonstrated the steps of wrapping zongzi: roll the bamboo leaves into a funnel shape, add an appropriate amount of alkaline glutinous rice, press down with chopsticks, and finally seal and tie. The skilled movements and techniques showed respect and love for traditional craftsmanship in every detail.

The aroma of zongzi fills the room, refreshing the heart.

Threads entwined, conveying well-being.

However, for most employees who were wrapping zongzi for the first time, this seemingly simple action was not easy to master. Some people couldn't roll the leaves tightly, causing the rice to leak out; others made mistakes in the tying process, resulting in loose and misshapen zongzi. Despite this, everyone did not give up but instead became more courageous, helping each other and exchanging experiences, with laughter constantly filling the air.

With repeated attempts and practice, everyone's movements gradually became more skillful. One by one, the angular and cute alkaline water zongzi slowly piled up into a small mountain, and the faint aroma of zongzi filled the air. Many employees said that although the process was difficult, seeing the zongzi they had made themselves filled them with a sense of accomplishment.

The activity not only allowed everyone to experience the fun of handicrafts but also brought colleagues closer together. A young employee said with a smile: "Before, we always bought ready-made zongzi to eat. Today, I wrapped them myself for the first time, and I discovered that there is so much attention to detail behind a small zongzi."

In the future, the company will continue to pay attention to the spiritual and cultural needs of its employees, planning more diverse and rich cultural activities in conjunction with traditional festivals, so that every employee can feel the care and warmth of the company and jointly create a company family with warmth, vitality, and a sense of belonging.
